Once you have submitted an application, we encourage new families to call the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid to schedule an interview (for parents applying to nursery through first grade only) and a tour of the school. Here you will witness firsthand the dynamic community; camaraderie among faculty, students and parents; and academic vitality that make our school a special place.

Applicants to senior kindergarten participate in a school visit that takes place in one of our junior kindergarten classrooms. These visits enable our staff to observe how each child interacts in a group setting, and can provide insights about a young child's readiness for school and potential for success at BZAEDS. Applicants will be notified of a visit date at least two weeks in advance.

Applicants to grades one through seven spend a full day at the school participating in regularly scheduled activities. Achievement testing also is required and may include (but is not limited to) a math assessment and a writing sample. Additional testing is determined on an individual basis, and some students may be asked to return for additional visits.
