Eric Keitel
Eric Keitel is beginning his ninth year at the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School. During his first year, he served as director of family education, and since that time has served in a variety of teaching and administrative roles. In his role as associate head of school, Eric is responsible for counseling eighth grade students and parents through the high school application and placement process. He is also responsible for the oversight of the learning services, social work, testing, technology and nursing departments. Prior to his arrival in Chicago, Eric taught fifth and sixth grades at Brandeis Hillel Day School in San Francisco and later was the founding head of middle school at Hausner Day School in Palo Alto, California. He holds a master's degree in educational administration from San Francisco State University, and a multi-subject teaching credential from the same institution. Eric also has participated in the Harvard Principals' Center Institute on Educational Leadership.
