Our Graduates
We are asked, time and again, by teachers and administrators at Chicago’s top high schools, what exactly we do for our students to help them become the young leaders they turn out to be.
The truth is, there’s no simple answer. But the whole is certainly greater than the sum of its parts: Through all the experiences they have at BZAEDS, our graduates are incredibly well prepared not only for the academic rigor of high school, but as important, for leadership roles in their new communities. They are confident critical thinkers and problem solvers who work well in teams and are at ease making presentations and leading discussions. They are Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School alumni.
Our graduates matriculate at schools like Walter Payton, Whitney Young, Latin, Parker, Chicagoland Jewish High School, Lane Tech and Northside College Prep. But it doesn’t end there—from those schools they go on to fine universities such as the University of Chicago, Michigan, Northwestern, Tufts, Penn, Dartmouth, Columbia, Yale, Stanford and Harvard, to name a few.
Even as they move on to new communities, however, Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School students love to return home to a place where they’re known and cherished—which is why we continue to find new ways to welcome back our alumni every year.
