Tzivia Garfinkel

Tzivia Garfinkel has led the Jewish Studies department at the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School for 17 years. Prior to her arrival, she worked at Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook for eight years as lower school learning center director and then middle school principal. Tzivia has spent most of her life in Jewish education, including a stint as assistant director of the Department of Judaica at the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan, along with a teacher’s certification that spans kindergarten through twelfth grade.
