Yael Newman has lived in many different states and regions across the United States, including Page, Ariz., Redlands, Calif., Memphis, Tenn., and Austin, Texas. Her career working with children began with babysitting, progressed to serving as a JCC camp counselor and then a Camp Ramah program director, and has culminated in being a teacher. Her first teaching job was in the Washington, D.C. area at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, where she taught third grade for four years. Yael holds bachelor's degree in applied learning and development from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently working toward master’s degree from National Louis University.
